Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning - 3 Different Reasons why people clean!

michael marcus las vegas tile and grout cleaning

Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning sees 3 Different Reasons why people clean! Many people discover that their floors are filthy, there feet and socks are black every other step, and nothing can get there floors any cleaner then what they tried! These people fall under "certain categories" that I discovered over a ten year period.

Homeowners (Actual owner's of home's)

People whom made an investment in there home, have hard surfaces typically in a good portion of there home, initially made the investment due to the abuse tile can take verses any other product. Can tell us exactly what chemicals they are/were using and know where every problem is. Not aware of the consequences of how long it will look "like new", not realizing how fast there floors get filthy, and not knowing what chemicals to clean with. These people are the most fussy, and typically require annual maintenance from Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning. They are tired of looking at there floors looking "ugly". Why: family, pets, parties, friends, everyday traffic.

Renters (Lessee or for profit owner)

These are people whom are moving into a home with filthy floors, or people (Lessors) renting an existing home, and investment property, to people borrowing there home on a monthly/annual basis. Even with down payments and deposits, it's hard to regulate regular activity in that home pending on family size or traffic. These incoming "renters" want clean floors period. Keep in mind the health aspect. Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning runs into people housing exotic animals, 20 people in a 3 bedroom house, dog and cat urine + poop everywhere, and more...A simple house cleaning cannot do the job...The grout originally was neutral, now noticeably black! This category is the filthiest of all. Renters really have no stake in the property, they will keep your tile and grout as clean as there lifestyle permits. Prepare for the incoming to want there floors immaculate as possible, and when they leave prepare for professional tile and grout cleaning service!

Bank-Owned/Foreclosures (A Las Vegas Thing)

People are buying these homes mostly as primary residences, they notice filthy floors and call Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning either for advice or to clean and seal there new incoming property. There results typically are 85-95% better than it currently looks. Some of these homes are being bought sight unseen, and not sure of the under lying conditions that exist. Typically in Las Vegas, NV, there was a GOOD family living there before and conditions are not critical...At times however, these homes were abused and/or resulting in permanent grout damage or discoloring/embedding (non-reversible). There are remedies to these rare issues, and Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning advice is the best in the business. We see these issues everyday, as well as recommending a clean and seal first before any drastic measures are taken.

Most clients whom utilize Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning are overwhelmed with results, however keep in mind this is not a miracle service, nor is this a disappointment. Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning uses a very effective and efficient operation that includes high powered machinery, physical strength, knowledge and safety, as well as past experience on getting your floors to it's cleanest and original state. Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning take's our job seriously to be all we can be. Especially as an owner/operator at every job, what more can you ask for? Look forward in seeing you and your projects as they arise!

Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning - Consequences from Adding wrong Sealers, Cleaning Chemicals, and More...

Consequences from Adding wrong Sealers
Consequences from Adding wrong Sealers
Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning - Consequences from Adding wrong Sealers, Cleaning Chemicals, and More. Often when I get the call to come out to a new client, I often notice similar issues that lay on top of there surfaces and/or build up that is similar to a layer of product mixed in with what ever is laying on top of the surface (grease, grime, dirt, dust) embedding itself not only as like a "waxy" build-up but an impossible topical coating that takes sometimes a jack hammer to uplift. Solution, do not add topical coatings including the following (no matter what the side of the containers read!)

1. 2-10 Coats of sealer...One coat only! Sealer acts as a repellent.
2. Gloss products...Don't try to change the material appearance...It is what it is.
3. Wax. NO WAX!
4. MOP N GLO - Linoleum material only! Not any other material period!!!
5. Sticky materials holding carpet to floors (especially on natural stones) Can uplift material!
6. NON-RINSE Chemicals??? See photo!
7. Swifter Mops. Pad too thin, solution terrible! Get micro fiber mops period!

When to know your Tile and Grout Needs Cleaning

When to know your tile and grout needs cleaning is sometimes a question when something actually appears to be clean, however, in most situations could even still need a Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning. Most appreciate the aesthetic view of very clean grout lines (close to original color when first laid) however some are confused of whether what the exact color is or was...If your buying a brand new home the color is evident, bank owned and foreclosed homes you can usually find the original color closest to the walls or in areas with no traffic...Careful though, it is quit possible for a floor to have cleaning solutions/mops all the way to the edges and/or areas that most don't walk anyway...Bottom line, call a professional for a evaluation of your floors as well as seeking annual service (a must), especially with family and pets.
In addition to the appearance, consider the health aspect of your floors that are serviced, this is what I call "picking up the funk off the floor". Who knows what disease's are laying on top your surfaces which include to name a few, sneezing, coughing, pet accidents, blood, and much much more! Visit Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning for service TODAY! Get your floors fresh and clean NOW!

What type of Floor to Choose and more!! From a Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning Professional

What type of Floor to Choose and more!!
from a Las Vegas Tile and Grout cleaning Professional.

Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning has been cleaning and sealing floors, counters, and shower stalls for over 10 years or (3500+ Jobs Personally completed). I have seen everything from new to old, dirty to clean, but sometimes wonder why people choose certain flooring that doesn't fit it’s use or even asked what is the best flooring ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, wood, slate, etc...The obvious would be to choose whatever makes you happy. On the other hand what makes you happy for the moment will make you UN-happy quickly especially if you have a lot of traffic (pets, kids, parties, etc.) or even using the wrong products to care for your floors. Key thought process when buying/choosing flooring material:

1. How much traffic in House? (Mom, Dad, children, pets, parties, etc.)
2. Location of area - relationship of product Kitchen = Heavy Traffic, Living Room = Light Traffic?
3. Tiled Surfaces vs. Wood Surfaces vs. Slate vs. Natural Stone vs. Mexican Tile?
4. Topical Coatings = Sealers - Sanded or Un Sanded grout joints? 1/4” vs 1”?

Proper Places for Proper Surfaces relate due to ease of future appearance and maintenance as well as SAFETY. Evaluate your surfaces regarding how much traffic you’ll have in the area, and where it’s located.

Observations 101

Slate
Decorative Tile. Exterior or Accent only! Not for large open spaces or kitchen areas. Very difficult to maintain as well as material usually breaks up. Certainly not in bath areas either.

Mexican or Saltillo Tiles
Can look beautiful, however difficult in open floors with heavy travel. Shows wear easy. At times difficult to keep clean. Common mistake, sealing with wrong sealer. Very wide grout lines, concrete consistency. Difficult in Kitchen Areas, baths, showers (NO). Material uplifts as well (like skin peeling) This is also a decorative material, difficult to clean (uneven surfaces) spilled products and pet stains can permanently embed fast!

Porcelain Tile
By far the most sense out of all materials. Can be used anywhere. Floors, counters, shower stalls (not basin floors) Kitchens, foyers, living areas. These floors textured or not clean up the easiest out of all materials. Be careful of the “new” recycled layer on top of porcelain tile, not so friendly/easy clean. Porcelain also last the longest as far as appearance, and can be re-grouted easily. (Sanded Grout only)

Ceramic Tile
Not a bad choice, breaks easy when pans drop, or anything that drops with velocity. Great again for kitchens, entry’s, laundry rooms, again, anywhere! Be careful of the high gloss versions as they really are easy to care for, however, can be a real safety hazard especially where kids, pets, and old folks are! These floors clean up easy, sanded grout 99% of the time, and recover from old to new instantly from a professional tile and grout cleaning. Excellent kitchen floor, especially where spills and food are everywhere. Popular as well in shower stalls (not good). The small Dal-Tiles 4” x 4” is not the problem in showers, however, it is the grout. The grout breaks up often, and usually is the main reason for remodel! *See cultured marble below!

Wood (real or laminated)
Back East wood is found everywhere. In the west, Like Las Vegas, NV not such a great idea. First the climate is too hot and dry, second wood in the desert (Fading)? Accent areas only, as well on 2Nd story or higher better. Stairs = OK...Can be serious hazard (slipping). Laminate floors curl or peel rather fast with the smallest drip...Yes they’ll recover back to it’s original form, however, again proper placement is critical. Family rooms, some entryways, upstairs (2Nd floor and higher) great choice. Do not put in kitchens (Real or Laminate). The worst material, and plan on replacement or refinishing fast. Evaluate your traffic before choosing wood.

Concrete
Concrete (sub-floor) typical in Las Vegas is not a bad idea, I have seen some really nice floors with proper textures and coatings. I think the real problem exists when you try to do it yourself. Concrete floors when done properly need to be done by a professional. By the way, if done properly, they clean up real nice. Some common issues I see are, peeling, fading, designation, and scaring (soles of marking shoes). No grout lines! Another downside is cracking from one end of the house to the other especially as the house gets older (settling). Overall pretty nice, somewhat issue for safety, however, not a bad choice for all areas (including kitchen)! Cleans up nice!

Linoleum
Excellent choice for kitchens, baths, and laundry rooms. Not Bad, old schoolish look, however last for a good long time, dirty easily (especially w/grease and grime) cheapest material to lay. Have seen some look a like wood design that really does look fantastic! Can be cleaned with machinery (Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning)as well.

Carpet
Bedrooms, living rooms, game rooms, dens, are what I think are great areas for carpet. Never in bathrooms (mold and mildew) kitchens, hallways, and entrances. Carpet can act as a sound buffer(echo prevent-er), and hide dirt and grime effectively. Don’t forget to have at least twice a year service, especially in the Las Vegas Valley due to the big toilet bowl we live in! Dust and Dirt flying every which way! We live in a desert!

Natural Stone
Beautiful and Rich Look! Require frequent service. Normally people whom install it, just came fro the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, and say to themselves, I love it. Some inherit the floors from someone else and don’t realize what their in for...These floors are the most difficult and need to be laid by professionals! They also need periodic resurfacing as well as lippage removal. High gloss floors look terrific, not great at all in kitchen areas, and talk about a slipping hazard combined with high heels and the elderly, not sure whats worse on this material! Travertine, marble are the most difficult. Limestone, granite (especially found on counter tops in LV) can be deadly as well! Granite is the toughest of all natural stones, and don’t scratch so easy! Granite = A lot of money! In the kitchen, these materials take a beating, as well as showers and tubs!

Cultured Marble
The best material for showers and sinks! Difficult to mark or scar, no grout lines, wipe up and clean beautiful! Great for shower walls (3 - 4’x8’ sheets you got a shower stall) No sealer required! Lasts Forever! Comes in many styles. Molded to fit sinks, and comes in many thickness’s.

Shower Stalls and Baths
Stay away from natural stones, hard water is a killer on this material as well leaving hazed or powderish looking blemish's especially in shower stalls. Slate, talk about a remodel, terrible in baths (looks beautiful when installed) . Travertine another material frequently seen in baths and hate to tell you, floors not exactly the problem, its the showers and tub enclosures that are the worst. Beautiful material that should be accented in areas less traveled as well as accents in rooms like living rooms, dens, entrances, and mosaics. Travertine’s and marble come in many finished appearances, IE: matted, high gloss, finished, pitted, filled, and many more. Did I mention pits? Holy cow, you either love’em or hate’em, can hurt feet when walking barefoot! Fill w/dirt and grime fast! Beautiful however when clean! I see a lot of travertine floors.

Sealers
Water based sealers are the best sealers for interior floors in Las Vegas, NV. No hazing, smearing, consistency change, roughness, and leaves the materials looking natural. I meet many clients whom want a glossy finish, matted finish, and more and tell them these cause more problems than you can imagine. Peeling, dirt embedded by sealers(before I get their), glossy in some areas and not others, as well as many more...Furthermore sealers do not keep your floors clean, they make spills and stains remain on the top of all materials known as “repelling” and “beading”! If Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning cleans your floors, sealer is required. Especially after your floors are at the most immaculate stage (like the day they were installed).

Environments of the interior of Homes

Echo Effect can happen when very high ceilings combine with no sound buffering items like area rugs, paintings or any other material than hard surface. Even on wood surfaces. Be careful as well as slipping or tripping hazards, and furniture (scratching) on materials. These all play an effect on overall cleanliness and appearance. Any hard surface is easier to care for then carpet, however carpet when placed properly still is a great product! Makes your feet stay softer!

Don’t walk in house with bare feet and shoes, wear socks (cotton only) if you like cleaner floors as well as healthier floors! In my house, forget about it! My 81 year old Dad and 71 year old Mom can’t bend over like they used to, as well as friends and family realize I’m in the business. Did I mention pets, need I say any more?

Remember, in Las Vegas, NV we walk to and from tar to concrete to grass to rocks to carpet to tile to everything in our way...MAINTENANCE is your KEY to not only Aesthetically looking beautiful floors but also from the health aspect as well! Most of my clients will call once a year for hard surface cleaning. Especially after I spoil them the first time!

Top 6 Reasons why GROUT remains discolored after a Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning

Top 6 Reasons why GROUT remains discolored after a Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning. Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning has been cleaning and sealing tile and grout for over 10 years in the Las Vegas Valley and service 6-8 jobs weekly! As an expert in the hard surface industry (tile and grout) there are many reasons why grout still appears to have issues even after a professional cleaning:

1. Grout still wet from cleaning (Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning)
2. Grout make-up or initial install of grout (bad mixture)
3. Use of wrong chemicals for weekly cleaning method. (vinegar, Clorox, grout whiteners, etc.)
4. Color Sealed Grout!(Color Sealed manufactures claim light cleaning is all that's needed, not true). This grout will get dirty as fast as any other grout!
5. Sealer that actually was applied so thick to the grout line covering dirt or discoloration prior to what was to be believed as "cleaned".
6. Mop n Glo or Wax or some other mystery topical coating.

Please visit http://www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com and schedule your service today!

Color Seal Grout? Which Color Sealer? Really? Are you sure?

Color Seal Grout? Which Color Sealer? Really? Are you sure? These are the exact questions I get everyday while out on the job. I see 8-10 tile cleaning and sealing jobs here in Las Vegas, NV and must report to you color sealer for your grout may sound like a good idea, however, most don't realize there floors will come clean without having to color seal at all! Do you have any idea how many color sealer products are on the market? Some look like they work, some don't. Some claim after applying your grout will "never get dirty again". If your grout is damaged, discolored (after being cleaned), breaking up, retired, etc...A tear out (especially) in smaller areas is your best suggestion. In larger areas, a complete evaluation from a "Tile Cleaning Professional" would be your first step. Whether your tiled floors are on a concrete slab or wood sub-floors eventually you will have issues with cracking, discoloring, and more!

Discoloring is the big one! Simple Cure = Wear socks (no bare feet and shoes) Stay away from all chemicals, Clorox, vinegars, acids, etc.! Try to use Neutral Cleaners only!

Color Sealer is used primarily for "accent" areas, lightly traveled areas, hard to reach areas, or as a solution to a construction mess. If color sealer is used, or you bought a home with color sealer already applied, plan on touching up areas as well as, having your floors cleaned to see if all can be uplifted...Usually most will be uplifted. Color seal company's blame tile cleaning company's for problems...People's grout will get dirty again no matter what!

My goal as an owner-operator here in Las Vegas is to make you happy, applying this "color-sealer" in almost every situation is not a great idea! If your project can be reached with an effective and efficient cleaning method (machinery) Tile and Grout Cleaning is always your first choice! If you live in New York city on the 56th floor @ 71st and third, what choices will you have? In Las Vegas it's clear! Visit me @ http://www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com TODAY! I'd love to earn your business respectfully!

People whom clean tile everyday for a "living" typically are the experts. Not grandpa whom got on there hands and knees with vinegar is the best solution. Tile and Grout Cleaning - Top Ten reasons why your Grout is DISCOLORED...

Here are the top ten reasons why your tile and grout is discolored:

1. Using wrong chemical(s) and cleaning tool to properly clean with.
2. Shoes, Bare feet, Slippers, heels, etc...
3. Maid is never told what to use, nor do you know what there using.
4. Pets having accidents (like the ones you haven't seen yet).
5. Wrong type of Sealer(s) applied to material!
6. Mop and Glo
7. Wax
8. Wrong colored grout patched in areas throughout.
9. Clorax or any bleaching product...
10. Vinegar...

I purposely left out color sealed floors for the reason that discoloring is not only the issue, but many more...Call me for explanation.

Many times, permanent issues may involve portions of your grout, all of your grout, and most of the time we don't know till we are completed.

Rarely are there conditions that don't get back to "near" new condition. but keep in mind anything is possible. Foreclosed and bank owned homes are the most mistaken-ed for tear-outs, however, much much less money could of been spent on cleaning and sealing only! Also eliminating construction mess.

Warning:
If your grout looks discolored upon Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning leaving, give floor at least 2-4 Days to dry before panicking sets! The wetness of the steam gets under the grout where hairline cracks exist and leaves some grout appearing darker. IE: Brown to light brown, gray to dark gray, etc. etc.

Tile and Grout Cleaning - Recommended Cleaning Method

Tile and Grout Cleaning recommended cleaning method that I continually talk/blog about to all my clients is the use of these three products. Micro Fiber Mop (Bona), Blue Dawn Dish Soap, and 18 ounce trigger bottle. All 3 of these products can be found locally at a store called "Smart and Final" in Las Vegas, NV. If not in NV, try Walmart. Clean in 10' x 10' sections with trigger bottle filled with 2 squirts of blue dawn mixed with water, spray on floor (10' x 10' area) then simply take off pad and rinse in sink, and finally putting pad back on floor rinsing same area with water only.

Tile and Grout Cleaning - Pitted Travertine!

Tile and Grout Cleaning on Pitted Travertine has gotta to be one of the most difficult tiles to keep clean! First of all, pitted travertine is a natural stone, it scratches very easy, as well as the "pits" get filled with dirt. Alot of folks ask if they should be filling these pits, and if your floors were like these (as pictured) my answer would be no. Sometimes this stone was picked for it's natural patterns. Travertine comes in many ways including, pitted, matted, honed, gloss, high-gloss, and more! In my professional opinion only fill travertine in areas that really "stick - out" or hurt (bare feet) when walking on. Try to keep socks on at all times, as these floors really do look beautiful when clean, and Ugly when dirty! Service is required annually for this material. Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing - How Often Should I have Service?

"Perfect Example of of how often."

T
ile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing clients often ask how often should I have service on my tile and grout? Under most circumstances tile and grout will get filthy dirty within a 12 month period due to family, pets, parties, etc. Cleaning and Sealing in my professional opinion should be annually. This keeps your floors "looking" beautiful, but also rids of germs and diseases whereas "carpet" hides these issues, and hard surfaces expose these conditions that have no where to hide. Please contact Michael @ www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com and set-up your appointment TODAY!

Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing - Shower Tile Cleaning and More!

Tile and Grout Shower Tile Cleaning plus Sealing sometimes can be very difficult to get clean. The main reason why is due to soap scum, body oils, as well as hard water deposits! All three of these issues create haze and smears that are extremely difficult to remove. Most showers I see are the traditional 4x4 Dal Tile squares with unsanded grout joints and seem to lose consistency as the house gets older. Unsanded grout joints on the lower parts of the shower should be refilled with chalk (DAP) due to constant flow of water hitting the shower walls and is the main reason for crumbling grout by the shower basin. Mold and Mildew are also issues in the shower, and typically evolve from water getting behind the grout/tiles/chalk where areas need to have immediate attention before spreading occurs. Sometimes work is done too fast whereas it is critical of prep (dry surfaces vs. wet surfaces) as work from beginning to end must be completely dry and after finish completely no usage for at least 1 full day! Shower tile basins are also a problem especially man made material basins as grease and grime seem impossible to remove. Best solution for man-made material basins are stuff the drain w/rag or stopper and dump bottle or two of Clorax and let sit for at least 24 hours. Repeat if necessary. Tiled floors in showers in my professional opinion are the worst! These tile and grouted surfaces get all the end results of soap scum, body oils, foot funk, and more that when unattended to are near impossible to remove! Solution is to rinse shower tiled basin completely before stepping out each time. Natural Stone Surfaces in any shower whether on the walls or floors are the most difficult and besides just tile and grout cleaning plus sealing, stone surfaces may require stone restoration (diamond cutting) and is extremely expensive and most damaging material to care for! Especially material like travertine, marble, Mexican, and even granite which seems to get the worst haze and hard water film that is near permanent over time! Best possible surface I recommend inside showers are literally 4'x8' sheets of Cultured Marble which come in many designs and patterns, no grout lines, extremely easy care and easy to remove and replace in future! Where the edges of each corner meet is where one single high gloss chalk line exist. These surfaces look very modern as well!

Most important to note is Sealing of almost all surfaces in any shower as mentioned above will make products like soap, shampoo, body oils, and more roll down the shower walls and will not adhere so easily to the tile as well as the grout! Excellent service, if remodeling or buying a newly constructed house. Have this done prior to taking a shower. Usually last 2-4 Years or as clean as you keep it! Let sealer sit at least 24 hours before using that bath. Stay away from harsh chemicals in any shower stall w/exception of man made material basins.

Tile and Grout Cleaning - Perfect Floor for Kitchens and Entry's

Perfect floor for kitchens and Entry's especially when tile and grout cleaning is needed is another question asked especially in this Las Vegas Real Estate Market where people want to start redoing there floors and often wander what type of material is best and cleans the easiest. I usually refer them to ceramic and porcelain tiles mainly because after professionally cleaned and sealed, they always look new again. In addition to professional tile and grout cleaning on an annual basis, it is easier for homeowners to care for in a weekly fashion. Especially with family, kids, and pets (9 out of 10 homes I see). No doubt these floors get dirty fast, however lite service done by the homeowner/business, and heavy service by www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com is certainly the way to go!

I look forward in hearing from all you and wish you the best of luck!

Tile and Grout Cleaning - Do it Yourselves Beware

Tile and Grout Cleaning Do it Yourselves beware of making your tile and grout look worse than it already is. My typical call normally states "I've tried everything to get my grout to get clean, and nothing seems to work". Typically as soon as I get to there house/business I ask what they are using to clean with and what chemicals? In almost every case, people are using products they just shouldn't be using. Avoid all chemicals at the store, friends remedy's, grandma & grandpa's vinegar, and more...These chemicals over time make your floors dirtier faster and sometimes permanently embed grease and grime into the grout itself. Before you ruin or create permanent damage to your floors visit www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com and see what I can do for you!

Tile and Grout Sealing - How long before I can walk on it?

Tile and grout sealing question often asked is "how long before I can walk on it". After your floors have been cleaned and sealed the floors will appear dry in approximately 10-15 minutes and lite travel can be achieved as long as "socks" or "shoe-covers" are worn. The sealer used is "water-based" and leaves no imperfections, haze, smear, gloss, or change of any composition. Try to walk less the day of service on your "like-new" tile and grout as going to lunch or dinner immediately following is a good idea! For your tile and grout cleaning plus sealing visit www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com TODAY!

Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing - How much is it???

Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing prospective callers often asks "How much is it". Technically we can't see floors through the phone nor can any description certify your exact material, filth, sealed or unsealed, sanded or unsanded grout, wax, etc.etc.etc. I'VE SEEN EVERYTHING AND I NEVER KNOW WHAT I AM GOING TO SEE NEXT! Sometimes giving "ballpark" prices aren't the best idea either. As a seasoned veteran of "Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing" (over 10 years) I believe I am what most say would be an "expert", as if your looking to have your job done safe, effective, efficient, and sane you'll hire us! It's OK to have general ideas about others, but the field demands the "going rate" for service plus results. People's prices are all over the place, just like the grocery store. For the "Best Results" call Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning and ask for Michael, he's the owner and worker that will be seeing you @ your home!

Tile and Grout Cleaning - What Sealer?

Tile and Grout Cleaning prospective clients always ask what sealer is applied and why. Almost every floor that is cleaned by Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning will have "water based sealer" applied due to it's natural appearance that it leaves. It leaves your floors looking beautiful, typically no-haze or smears, no uplifting of film, and easy to maintain. Sealers "don't keep your floors clean" they simply PROTECT by making your floors "repel" and "bead" substances that may fall to the floor. Be very careful of applying anything to your hard surfaces other than "water based sealers" the consequences could actually lead to restoration. Also consider safety in your home (slipping, falling, scraping ,etc.) which many overlook. For more information visit www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com TODAY!

Tile and Grout Cleaning - Shower Stalls

Tile and Grout Cleaning at the shower stalls seems to be a regular call for service from homeowners. Soap scum, mold, and body oils are the main reasons why shower stalls get dirty fast! Best way to care for them in the future is to seal them once cleaned professionally then monitor to repeat service every 3-5 years. Stay away from harsh chemicals, and try to wipe down after each shower (squeegee or towel). If re-chalking edges make sure all residue is scraped thoroughly and wiped with mineral spirits then completely dry surface (overnight) then apply DAP chalk nice thin bead along corners and cracks then let dry up 24 hours. This process is critical, any skipped step creates mold behind the chalk being laid and/or improper adhesion of chalk which leads to peeling. Tile and Grout Cleaning - Why Clear Seal?

Clear Sealing your tile and grout will help elevate most spills and stains from penetrating. Tiles are impervious from stains/spills (IE: ceramic, porcelain, etc.) where as you'll benefit wherever grout exist! This is where the real work of sealers come in place! Skipping this step after your floors are cleaned is a big mistake. Ugly grout occurs from unsealed grout in most cases. Always have your tile and grout cleaned and then sealed professionally. Sealers can last a life time, but they will not keep your floors clean, that's up to you and ME! Visit www.lasvegastileandgroutcleaning.com to schedule your cleaning and sealing today!

Tile and Grout Cleaning plus Sealing - This weeks work!

Tile and grout cleaning plus sealing this week went real well! Cleaned & restored a real nasty porcelain tile sealer job that didn't adhere and was uplifting terribly ...Five hours later the floor came out "like new again" and a very happy "expecting" mom! This family bought this 4000 square foot bank owned problem home which was rehabbed completely!

Quite often I see floors with sealers applied that don't belong on there floors! It's hard to understand why sometimes we all do what our heart desires at times, but sometimes we just do it anyway! Stay away from any topical coatings unless professionally applied! High gloss, acrylic, solvent, etc., etc. just stay away from problems. Try not to listen to people whom talk (especially the ones in well known retail stores) they don't clean tile or seal floors everyday. Most people do things abruptly because they heard of a friend whom did it, or walked out of a fancy shmancy hotel with big hopes!
