Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning - "Where NOT to put tile flooring..."

Travertine Stairwell
Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning - "Where NOT to put tile flooring..." Ladies and Gentleman, often I walk in to homes to clean and seal tile and grout in kitchens, dining rooms, family rooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, and more. There is one area where tile should not be laid and that would be stairs (whether up or down). The main reason is safety. Corners are sharp (as seen in photo) as well as the slipping which could be fatal. I personally cleaned and sealed these floors (above photo) at this residential home (which was absolutely beautiful) and slipped as Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning Owner was cleaning these stairs and suffered a "mild" arm injury (have recovered since). We do get calls asking for recommendations about tile on stairwells, and my answer is always the same, NO. Wood would be the same problem (slipping) as well, however, a carpeted path my be your best bet and can be engineered over your existing hard surfaces. (As shown below)

Carpeted Stairwell - A brilliant idea!
One final note, upon leaving this particular Tile and Grout Cleaning job I stumbled out the front door and found another concrete stairwell leading us at the end of the driveway lined with Sago Palms in planters at "eye level"...Need I say more?

Concrete Stairwell - Unmarked disaster!

If your in Las Vegas, Nevada, and need tile and grout cleaning help (not on stairwells) I can be of great assistance. How to identify if my tile and grout is dirty and ready for professional service? Top 3 ways to tell!

How to identify if my tile and grout is dirty? Top 3 ways to tell! There are many indicators of how to discover your tile and grout is not only having the appearance of being aesthetically dirty, but basically unhealthy floors that haven't been professionally cleaned ever! Here are the top 3 ways of discovering if your tile and grout is ready for professional tile and grout cleaning service:

1. Just moving/purchasing into a previously lived in property where the tiles look clean, however as you get closer towards the kitchen or other heavily traveled areas you notice different shading (black) in the grout. Sometimes natural stoned tile like travertine, marble, Mexican tiles, and others have an immediate appearance (layer/film) that is extremely noticeable.
2. Lift up the corner of your area rug where your family room is or kitchen...Notice the difference in shades on both the tile and grout? When an area rug is laid down, understand that is area where light doesn't hit or traffic from spills and more do not occur. That is most likely your most perfect looking material. (Or what it looked like from the beginning).
3. Haze or Smear/film build-up throughout usually caused by such products like Steam-Mops, Swifters, deck swabs,  wrong chemicals, shoe prints or wrong sealers applied...A professional tile and grout cleaning will remove all issues mentioned in most situations.

Tile and Grout Cleaning can be a very labor intensive job, why not hire a tile and grout cleaning professional like Las Vegas Tile and Grout Cleaning to service you!
